Holiday Looks
This holiday season is definitely shaping up to look different than any we have ever seen before. Our gatherings are smaller, our social circles are very select and our holiday party invitations are nowhere to be found (or wait is that just me?). Regardless of how different this Christmas looks I am still feeling festive and want to look cute, so hopefully you guys are on board for that too! Here are a few holiday looks you can put together whether you are at home with just your mom or having a slightly extended (safe) gathering. You’ll feel not only great in these easy looks but comfortable too (and don’t worry the “loungewear: holiday edition” is still to come.)
First up let’s talk about a good graphic knit. It jazzes things up for the usual graphic crew (hey Brunette don’t worry I still love you) but is still a comfy, cozy option. You can pair it with basically anything . . . leggings, vegan leather pants (yep), black denim . . . all great for an easy holiday look. Grab your holiday beverage of choice and you are good to go! Also I love a good animal print / animal on anything and I don’t know what it is about this sweater in particular but it does feel festive. Am I crazy? Wait, don’t answer that . . .

Look numero dos . . . Christmas is nothing without a chic velvet look. Holiday collections are often littered with velvet options and there is a good reason for it. It looks rich, for one, and is actually extremely flattering and easy to wear for another. This velvet look is one of my favourites from a few seasons ago. Velvet is also timeless, like go through your mom’s old dresses and I guarantee you will find one you actually still would wear today. Pair this look with some white booties to “trend” it up and you are going to really impress the dog at dinner this year, trust me.

Now this last look I am always a fan of. Sweater dress season is a short one, aka it is really too cold here to wear dresses, even if they are sweaters. But they are a cute way to look put together for the holidays while really feeling like you are in the coziest outfit ever. This white turtleneck, knit, looks good with literally anything. You can even pop it on with tights or leggings for a more practical, Canadian, winter look and presto, glam and cozy all in one.
