Reality TV Round-up
As it turns out a large portion of my instagram following have degenerate reality TV habits like I do, so I thought it was only fitting to give the people what they want . . . A list of the best Reality TV shows to binge watch (or rewatch if you are as unstable as I am). When I sat down to write these out it actually became apparent this was much more of a challenge than I originally thought. There are so many different types of reality shows and truly there are so many different reasons to watch them BUT I will do my best to gift you with a well rounded list of go tos. I feel like I could go into great detail here but I am going to try and keep it (relatively) short and sweet. LET’S GO . . .
BIG BROTHER - First on the list is a no brainer for me. I am a diehard big brother fan. I love both the American and Canadian versions (obviously American is the most entertaining however in my mind I feel I could one day be the old lady on a season of the Canadian version so holding out hope and loving it for that reason alone). If you have never watched it you are missing out. Re-watch old seasons and get hooked because it is so fun to watch it live every summer. The best season ever is American Big Brother 16, the winner played a flawless game, that is all I can say.
THE REAL HOUSEWIVES - This franchise is obviously reality tv at its finest but not all cities and seasons are equal. I am going to give you my current top three based on what is happening in the most recent seasons but truly I love them (almost) all of them. Right now you need to put on Salt Lake City, Beverly Hills and Potomac. THE SCANDALS. That is all.
VANDERPUMP RULES - While on the topic of the housewives I have to add in Vanderpump because one, I love LVP, and it was the best spinoff to ever come from a housewives franchise of any kind. The new season is starting soon so binge watch the previous seasons ASAP, you won’t regret it.
THE CHALLENGE - One of my all time favourite MTV shows to ever exist. Currently they are on season 37 (yes 37) and it never gets old. Do yourself a favour and at least go back to season 20 and get to know how epic the show, the cast, and the challenges really are.
BELOW DECK - There is Below Deck the OG, Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Sailing Yacht, truly all worth a watch in their own right. But huge shout out to Captain Lee, he is the absolute MVP of the entire franchise (but actually love all the Captains so good job to whoever is responsible for casting these superstars). Just go watch it, trust me.

LOVE ISLAND
KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS (don’t at me for this, it did not deserve a spot in the most important list because it is over and also because it is the Kardashians, but still love them so there you have it).
90 DAY FIANCE (I truly love this show and all the spinoffs but I don’t think most people would agree with this one)
LOVE IS BLIND
SELLING SUNSET
SURVIVOR (stand by this)
SAY YES TO THE DRESS (I had to include this)
Dishonourable mentions:
This season of the Real Housewives of NYC (if you know, you know).
The Hills: New Beginnings (my god this was bad)
Too Hot to Handle (the absolute worst).
Honestly I think I could go on and on, we didn’t even touch on Jersey Shore or The Real World, and I know I am missing so many others but I think it is best we just realise my reality tv obsession (sickness) runs pretty deep . . .
If anyone on here has any pull in the Canadian television industry I would love to be a tester for “The Real Housewives of Muskoka.” I am not wealthy and do not have anything specifically special to offer but I think I could provide great entertain for the people, ya know?
