Starbucks: Fall Edition

IMG_8552.JPG

I am feeling this is going to have to be a seasonal stop on the must do blogs because at it turns out we are all very passionate about our starbucks. Here are three must try (and one don’t try) fall drinks to help spice up this basic babe season. Also, do not even lie to me and pretend we don’t all love all the basicness of fall, I will not accept that here. We are who we are and we are here for pumpkin spices, patches, pies, and whatever else you can put those things on or in until the holiday tastes make an appearance (don’t worry we will absolutely be covering that down the line too).

Okay, let’s go . . . What to try and how to order (I pretty much always modify my drinks but please feel free to be a normal, reasonable person and not have your starbucks barista want to end your life, cool).

  1. First up and actually an as is order, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Let’s just say pumpkin cold foam is actual heaven on earth, I want it on everything I drink for the rest of my life. Not an exaggeration. I love this drink because it is not too sweet (which I’ve heard other people say is a negative). For me it doesn’t have too much of an overpowering pumpkin taste and is a nice dash of a treat with the pumpkin cold foam but still a coffee drink to enjoy with the subtleness of the cold brew. All in all worth trying, and then trying again.

  2. This next one is a delightful treat and perfect for those cooler fall days. It will legit make you warm and fuzzy from the inside out. Here is what to order - Grande chai tea latte, half sweet, add 2 pumps of pumpkin spice syrup. Extra whip and pumpkin spice topping (if you are “healthy” leave off the whip but be sure to add extra pumpkin spice topping). Basically the perfect mix between a chai tea latte and pumpkin spice latte, thank me later.

  3. I don’t know why I was thinking these wouldn’t all be like very “treat yo self” type drinks but lastly on this little must try list is another secret combo that tastes like a pumpkin torte of sorts. Here’s how to order - Grande Caramel Macchiato, substitute the vanilla syrup for pumpkin syrup (again I typically say half sweet but completely your preference), and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice to top it off (caramel sauce and pumpkin flavours combine for that perfect strolling a pumpkin patch kind of bevy). This is a great go to basic if you don’t want to be too adventurous and love a classic caramel macchiato like myself. I also think this would be great iced but did not give it a go so cannot confirm (yet).

Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew - enough said (also cute baby).

On another note before we finish here ,what I really do NOT enjoy is the new Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato. I’m not really sure why because in theory it sounded like something I would love but it was just not quite right. Flavour just was not there (for me). However, I will say the hot version (half sweet) was a little better. But, not my favourite thing to spend $6+ on.

Obviously a good old fashion pumpkin spice latte can never not be a good idea so just figured that one did not need an official place on the list. My personal order for this is half sweet with extra whip (always extra). Okay, I feel better that I got that out of the way. Their pumpkin foods (scone, muffin, loaf) are all a nice add on to enhance your pumpkin enjoying experience.

Pop over to the gram and please recommend your favourites, least favourites, and even more importantly please tag me if you try any of these! This is a tough job recommending Starbucks selections. I need to know spending all of Chris’ money on starbucks is paying off and inspiring others. Happy pumpkin spice season queens.

xo.
