Spring Florals

Alright honey, I am back with a little spring fashion inspo for you because I am LOVING all current floral prints. They are here in full force this season and it is fab! I do not care how many times floral prints come in and out of “style,” I feel like they are always something I gravitate towards. Florals are extremely versatile. They can be feminine and edgy all at the same time, it just depends how you style the look. Floral dresses especially are always a go to for easy spring and summer cuteness and IMO should be an essential in your wardrobe. Wear your favourite florals to a socially distanced brunch, to the beach, on a date, to a wedding (are those still happening?), anyways you get the picture. They are flirty, fun and a fashion must have!

Let’s chat about a few ideas on how to style your favourite floral pieces. I think you either go super girly, super edgy or a little bit sporty when it comes to floral prints. I know this might sound a bit insane but stick with me. Floral prints are of course very girly in nature, they are flowers (duh), so sometimes it is nice to play this up and keep it simple. Adding little bits of delicate jewelry, a heel or a pretty sandal are all ways to achieve this with little to no effort. Now if you are feeling spicy and want to show your edgy side throw on a pair of combat boots and BAM, you are good to go. Now when all else fails it is time to add a hat. Just trust me. A ball cap, a bucket hat, a fancy hat, anything, just put one on and boom, outfit elevated. Make it flirty, make it fun, make it sporty, whatever you are feeling a hat can do that for you. Am I making sense so far? Hopefully . . . but if not, here are some outfit inspo ideas for y’all with some of my favourite floral prints of the season that will definitely be staples in my closet all spring and summer long!

Let’s start off easy. A girly, off the shoulder floral top is something you might have known you needed, but you do, you NEED it. It looks so good paired back to denim (jeans or shorts, take your pick depending on the season) and is a great every day look or casual date night look. Throw on this rancher hat and you will look seriously put together (even if you haven’t washed your hair for three days - like me . . .) Don’t worry I am linking all the goods below just in case you want to treat yourself!

A mini dress is girly enough as it is but add in some florals and you have one of the sweetest little things to ever grace closet. For some of us this might be a little TOO much girly (if that is possible) so my suggestion? Pair with a denim jacket and ball cap bro (see what I did there? Sports). This keeps the cuteness level but gives it a sporty vibe all at the same time. My personal favourite is a longer denim jacket. Not always easy to find but worth it if you do! I am always on the hunt for good denim so I will keep you posted!

Keeping it real here - babe needed to eat, I had to feed him so. this is how you are seeing the outfit #momlife - linked mini dress - FLORAL MINI - MINKPINK

In case you have been living under a rock bucket hats are back and in a big way. I paired this 90s inspired trend with this 70s inspired dress and I am living for it. I think it is always fun to play with trends. Not all trends hit for everyone but playing with bits and pieces that speak to you is always fun. This floral mini and bucket hat vibe just seemed to work for me! Linking the dress and hat (well a similar one) because they are truly some of my favourite pieces of the season.

Okay, last but not least on this floral journey let’s get a little edgy. Easiest way to do this is to just add a pair of combat boots to anything. It works with a midi dress so well, doesn’t it? I have been having a serious love affair with combat boots and have been wearing them nonstop for the last year. I do not plan on stopping. When you need to feel a little bit like a bada** just put some on, trust me! Linking my favourite Steve Madden ones here! This midi dress is seriously so sweet, with cute sleeves and a full button front detail, it is just so easy to wear. I think this might be my favourite floral look, if I had to choose . . .
