What’s In My Purse?

pinkpapaya_284.JPG

I am so curious to know if everyone totes around one million too many things (like I do) or if you keep it a little more low maintenance inside your handbag. I would like to blame the fact I over stuff my bag on having children but that is really not the case, I have always done this. Some of the contents have definitely changed since babies but the concept remains the same, . . . you might need it all, so just bring it! On another note I actually do not pack for travel in this way which might come as quite a shock when you see what I find I need to carry around every single day. I guess you will never need to know how I pack for travelling anyways because we are never going to be allowed to do it again. Ever. Like never, ever, ever. I’m kidding. Or at least I hope I am (please dear lord let me leave this country one day again soon, actually even just this town). Anyways now that I have gone off on this tangent let’s just get down to it, what the heck is inside my purse ???

Oh wait, I must start this out by saying for the photos of this I used my cute new dainty purse that I will only use when I am out alone for a quarter of a second maybe once or twice in my life, what I actually cart around is a massive handbag / work tote most of the time, just for the transparency. Alright now we can start . . .

This is for real what I pulled out of the actual bag I carry around every single day so the american money and dinosaurs are super essential. The American cash money honey is from the last time we travelled (Jan 2020) and I think it just gives me a glimmer of hope that one day we will be able to travel again, or makes me depressed I can’t quite decided, moving on . . . If you are a boy mom you know how important it is to have some dinosaurs to whip out in a pinch, or is that just being Beau’s mom? Regardless they are a staple and requested often. Now the real essentials . . .

  • Mask(s) and mask chain. If you don’t have multiple mask in your purse, in your car, in your house, etc, by now are you really living in the same world I am? Doubt it. I like to have a few clean masks and one my favourite mask chain with me always at this point.

  • Scrunchies. Never do I ever not have a scrunchie on my person (thank goodness they have come back in style . . .) I try and switch them out based on what I am wearing that day (can you say “DIVA”) but actually I really probably just end up piling more and more in. Oops.

  • Diapers, wipes, and bum butter OH MY. With Beau I always had a diaper bag, my bag, and a slew of other things with me but honestly now I just throw the essentials into my purse for them and go with it. Not sure if it is because I have become lazier (that is probably it) or I have gotten smarter, but either way it works for us and makes my life easier. And just a little side note, if you have a baby and have not used the soapstones baby bum butter, you need to. Best in the bum biz, IMO.

  • Obviously I have a loose debit card, old receipts and floating change on the bottom of every bag I have ever owned or used. Tell me I am not alone on this people . . .

  • Sunscreen and lotion. I have become a bit of sunscreen addict in my old age so I always have some on hand for myself and the babes, as well as lotions and potions just in case. I find with the 24/7 hand sanitizing lotion is just a must have everywhere I go.

  • Make-up. You never know when you’ll need to fix your eyebrows and truly right now if your eyebrow game is not on point what else do you even have?

  • Not pictured is also a phone charger, sanitizer, sunglasses, glasses, pen, paper, puffs, goldfish . . . and likely some children’s tylenol . . . Just all the essentials for your everyday pandemic living life.

What am I missing? What should I be adding to this mess? What should I be taking out? Actually don’t answer that, I know what I could take out and I am not gonna, so get outta here! But really, I want to know what weird things you carry around with you every day but likely do not need. Or what has just been sitting in your purse for ages even though you could easily take it out? Hit me up on the gram and comment on my latest reel to share. Love you all forever, even if you are judging the contents of my purse (I do not blame you).

xo

P.S. All these fun, red, underlined things are links to products I use all the time / have at the bottom of my bag so you can easily shop them (you’re welcome). Okay, I think that is all, cheerio!
