Starbucks HOLIDAY

Nothing says holiday cheer like that little red cup filled with way too many calories. No question it is the most delicious time of the year if nothing else. As always Starbucks has quite the selection of holiday drinks and treats and not all of them are made equally delicious. But don’t worry, that’s what I am here for. Let’s just get down to the goods, shall we?

Just trying to do some final taste testing and these three had to tag along LOL

  1. First up is a classic holiday selection and one that might be basic but is always a good treat. The Caramel Brûlé Latte. Always order half sweet, non-fat milk, BUT extra whip, the absolute best in my humble opinion. This can also be made iced so if you prefer an iced coffee order this but sub the whip and get vanilla cold foam (chefs kiss).

  2. Let us just get the most disappointing drink of the season out the way . . . The Sugar Cookie Oat Latte. Let me say I wanted to love this. Everything about it sounded truly lovely. If you don’t like oat milk then I guess you already would hate this but I have become partial to a classic Oat Latte. I will say this drink did get slightly better the more I drank it but the sugar cookie syrup tastes way too artificial for me. A mere 5/10 IMO. The combo is just a not worth your $7.

  3. Irish cream is always a good idea and both the hot and cold version of these are lovely. The hot bevy is an Irish cream Americano and tastes like the holidays (would absolutely taste great with a splash or two of baileys, just saying). The cold brew version is seriously good, especially with the addition of vanilla cold foam. Yep, so yum.

  4. Treats options . . . Not my personal Starbucks preference but obviously the kids (okay fine me too) love a cake pop every now and again so let’s talk about the holiday treats. The holiday cake pop is fine if you like chocolate and peppermint, I personally prefer the vanilla but to each their own. The snowman sugar cookie looks the cutest and tastes decently fine. Don’t have a photo of these because my children ate them immediately but you get the idea. Lastly the cranberry bliss bar is also “fine.” If you like that type of flavour it is a decent overall treat experience. The holiday treats out of 10 get 6 from me.

  5. Now I’ve found some secret menu holiday drinks that all sound amazing but I haven’t had a chance to try most of them (just yet). But one that stood out above the rest I simply had to try. It did not disappoint. A “Ferrero Rocher” frappuccino baby! Yes it’s as good and bad as it sounds. This is definitely a “treat yo self” drink but tis the season right ? Now the important part, how to order - - - > Grande Java chip frappuccino, add one pump hazelnut, one pump toffee nut, extra whip and top it with caramel drizzle. You can adjust the pumps of syrup according to size and your preference of sweetness but trust me this one is decadent enough as is.

That feels like a delicious place to end things. As always please go share your holiday favourites with me on the gram and let me know what you think of any of the goodies above. Happy holiday sipping season sweethearts.

    xo

P.S. this is what it looks like when you’re just trying to enjoy your coffee in peace but your entire family is actually there torturing you so you get up and go to your own section of Starbucks . . .
