Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Her

pinkpapaya_099.JPG

I know a lot of people hate Valentine’s Day and think it is a made up holiday (and it is) but I love it and think it can be the cutest little day of love. It does not need to be filled with elaborate gifts (unless that is your thing, and it is mine, so no judgement LOL). But in all seriousness it is just a nice day to show your significant other a little extra something. I thought what better way to give your partners all a small panic attack than to show you my Valentine’s Day gift guide/ wish list. Let’s ensure these love interests of ours know what they should be looking out for (you’re welcome, hehe).

Tell the gentlemen and ladies of your life not to freak out just yet, the list doesn’t consist of only fancy must haves, there is little gestures too and I honestly would be just as happy with the cute slippers on this list than I would be with the jewelry (I would be happiest with both but let’s not push it).

  1. First up, I’ll keep this simple, flowers. Call your local florist and hook your honey up. If she says she doesn’t like flowers she is lying or she just hasn’t gotten flowers from Flower Child by Allison Holder. If you are local to me just call her! (I will have this all tagged on the gram, do not worry). FLOWERS. I want them, always.

  2. I think a lovely little add on with the flowers is the cutest pair of socks I just recently spotted. “Happy Wife, Happy Life”. A truer statement will never be spoken and these are extra cute for sitting on your couch in lockdown.

  3. It is no secret that I love Maggie & Kaye (a local, online, home goods boutique in case you have been living under a rock). She has some of the cutest and easiest gift ideas possible. I personally love their throws and pillows and think they all just make such a lovely and thoughtful gift (for Vday and any occasion really). BUT they have the cutest heart pillowcases right now that are just such a great love day pressie, you gals would love this, trust me (I may have already gifted myself one, wait, I mean two - shhh).

  4. Fuzzy slippers . . . need I say more? I mean I don’t need to say more but I will. At the shop we have the cutest fuzzy slides in right now and I truly do not believe there is a better gift for a Covid Valentine’s than that. Trust me when I say every female will love and appreciate these. Add to cart immediately.

  5. Sweats. Yes this sounds very un-Valentines but let us all please be real, it is Covid and there is nothing better than living in our sweatsuits right now. Brunette the label has outdone themselves and I am pretty sure this set might be my new favourite. Add it to you lust list, it is glorious.

  6. Another local stop I will never get enough of for Vday is Little Black Bow. I mean really it is probably more a gift for them than you in the end but their pieces are truly always so beautiful and carefully curated. If you have to be stuck at home you might as well keep it a little spicy right? I am saying this for everyone else, I keep my life full of sweatpants, let your imagination do the rest here . . .

  7. JEWELRY. Pretty sure this is just a given for any holiday and honestly I would be lying if I said I do not love to receive a pretty, sparkly something every now and again. This year I have my eye on some adorable pieces by Melanie Auld. Truly they have the best quality pieces and they last forever making them that much more special. Again I will link this all over on my instagram, but send your honey to their site and thank me later.

Seven seems like a nice place to end things and I don’t want this guide to sound greedy so there you have it. My seven gift ideas for the lovely lady in your life this Valentine’s Day. Please, for the love of God, do not forget to add a card. My husband will attest to this (and he will roll his eyes into the back of his head I’m sure), on how important I find a card. I truly would rather a card over a gift, although both are obviously ideal. I think it is just the easiest (and cheapest) way to be thoughtful. Tell your woman why you love them, it goes a long way. You can make it as sweet and personal as you want for any occasion. Cards are just a must IMO. Remember folks, it is the little things that count! Oh and a bottle of wine . . . Okay I’ll stop . . .

Pop over to the gram and let me know what you beauties thought of my V-day guide. Hopefully you can nudge your partner in the right direction. By that I mean just send them to me, I’ve got your back. Happy love day, lovers.
