Cheers To Five Years
My husband and I recently celebrated 5 years of marriage (yay, good for us, I know). At the beginning of this year when I thought about how we would celebrate this mini milestone I had some pretty extravagant plans swirling through my mind. I am not going to share those in case I get to use them for another milestone year. The last thing I need is for Chris to read this and know my plans because he will absolutely forbade them (and then go along with them anyways because he loves me). BUT, anyways, that is besides the point. As the pandemic continued - remember when it first kicked off and you thought man a few weeks of this is hard but we just have to do it and move on HA HA HA, ya no - I had to figure out a new plan. The new plan changed constantly. My most recent plan, before the real plan, blink twice if you are following along, yes I am clearly one of those story tellers that cannot keep it to one topic . . . What where was I? OH yes, my most recent plan, it was to dress up all fancy, aka I wanted to wear a wedding dress from my bridal shop (duh), and take very extra, lovey, photos. However, when I continued to think on it and try on dresses, I just wasn’t feeling it. This does not reflect us as a couple. I might love to get dressed up and be over the top but my poor husband doesn’t usually find my dress up photoshoots to be his favourite activity. I did still make him do a photo session but one with his boys so he (almost) happily agreed.
Anyways, our anniversary day and celebrations ended up being perfection and I am so grateful this year has helped us slow down and appreciate everything we have and everything we are together. You could even say we are hashtag blessed - thanks Bruno Mars. After all of this what I really wanted to share with y’all was a few cute photos celebrating us and the life and love we have created together. Shout out to our favourite photographer Carlyn for capturing these for us!
See the cuteness below and let me know what you did to celebrate your milestone events during Covid!
