Cozy Christmas
Christmas is nothing without a good cozy look, so I figured it was only right to share my favourite 2020 Christmas cozies with all of y’all. The holidays are looking a lot more low key than usual so now more than ever a cozy look will be our go to for Christmas. However, for me, this is not really a change . . . As much as I love a good glam look (for a few minutes) I am forever here to live in sweats, rompers and PJs, honey!
In case you haven’t noticed I do enjoy partaking in an adult beverage every now and then, so one of my favourite sweaters of the season has to be the “CHEERS BABE” classic crew by Brunette the Label. The best thing about brunette is you can style these cozies to be as relaxed or as fancy as you want. I thought for dinner with the family I might throw on a pair of vegan leather leggings (my favourites courtesy of Knix and the Birds Papaya) with this sweater and of course finish it off with some fuzzy slides. Insider tip, if you want a more relaxed fit with a classic crew fit just size up one or two sizes and voila.
Just a friendly reminder if you plan to visit family or friends outside of your household over the holidays wear a mask and keep your distance. Keep everyone safe & healthy. We are so close to getting through this babes!
I sized up to a L/XL in the classic crew for some extra room and coziness. I am 5’11 for size and fit reference (usually wear M/L from Brunette the label )
Now is there a day that I go without wearing a Smash &. Tess romper . . . the answer is no. Naturally the holidays are no exception to this rule. A romper is good for any occasion and what better way to spread Christmas cheer than wearing your S&T plaid present romper for all to endear? Ya that makes no sense but I tried . . .
Although Beau looks miserable he refused to leave for these photos so here we are stuck looking at the baby Grinch. I am wearing a medium in my romper. I always stick with medium in S&T, some rompers fit slightly smaller or bigger depending on fabrication and fit but medium is my go to always.
AH and last but not least if you really want to be cozy a set of PJs, or for me this year a nightie, (old lady chic duh!) is where it is at. I think I can speak for all moms when I say truly all I want for Christmas is a good night’s sleep. At least if I can’t have that (I can’t - insert crying emoji here), I can be comfy and cute? That is some kind of trade off, isn’t it? Anyways, I am obsessed with nighties lately, ever since Beau was born actually, and this is the best one I have ever owned, EVER!
Chris calls these my rich person jammies (a compliment coming from him) and the reason is how they feel! The hand on these nighties and all Riot Theory in general is amazing! If you are in the market for new lounge/PJS treat yourself to one of these, you will not regret it. Wearing size large, I have a medium in another set from them, I would say they fit slightly on the bigger than smaller side, so keep that in mind girlfriends.
We definitely have a Christmas PJ tradition in our house and this year the Smash and Tess holiday collection will be making an appearance on every single member. You heard me right, Chris and Greg will also be rocking their plaid rompers this year. Stay tuned. You will not be disappointed.
