Holiday Decor Tour

Really I just want to take a minute to thank everyone following along over the past few months of launching this little space of mine on the internet. Every comment, follow, interaction, means so much to me. I love connecting with all y’all.

If you’re anything like me I often feel out of control during the holiday season. From work to family life, Christmas is a crazy time. This year, with everything going on, I’m taking time to appreciate the little things and most importantly am enjoying extra time with my family. For example. I’ve decided to take 3 days off for Christmas, wild I know - also likely we will be getting thrown into lockdown so those three days could be extended into a solid 28 more, but I’ll wait to confirm that. I feel like now more than ever we need to appreciate how lucky we are. This year I have put way less pressure on myself to have it all together and more emphasis on making sure the boys are feeling the magic of the season (mostly Beau). The wrapping paper doesn’t match our decor, our decor is mostly overrun by dinosaurs, and all of this feels perfect for this time in our life. I would not want any of this to be different and for that I am so grateful. So without further ado here is a little bit of the holiday madness filling our house as we approach the big day with the jolly, big guy . . .

I am definitely not joking around about the dino invasion this year. This little guy will be making his debut to the family in Beau’s stocking, expecting a big reaction for this. Also we go overboard on books always, but that is a good thing right? …

Also we go overboard on books always, but that is a good thing right? Our stockings are definitely going to be overflowing this year!

I was not joking about the mismatching, non-pinterest worthy, decor this year, but still cute right? Also Beau got the worst haircut of all time, just waiting on the curls to grow back (so many crying faces - after the bath is just the worst).

At least these stockings are absolutely precious and from a local, online boutique (Maggie & Kaye)

Okay I have to leave this here. I believe I am up to maybe a dozen? Yes twelve, Starbucks ornaments. My mama starting adding them to our stockings years ago and now they have just become a thing. They drive Chris a little insane so I think one year …

Okay I have to leave this here. I believe I am up to maybe a dozen? Yes twelve, Starbucks ornaments. My mama starting adding them to our stockings years ago and now they have just become a thing. They drive Chris a little insane so I think one year I am going to have an entire tree of them. Good idea right?

Well that’s it, that’s all. Nothing too wild over here on the decor front but still feeling some seriously Christmasy vibes in our house this year and I am loving it! If you’re feeling overwhelmed I hope this serves as a reminder that wherever you’re at this year, it is okay! It might look different but my goodness it wouldn’t be on brand for 2020 if it didn’t. Soak in the little things, you won’t regret it! Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season and a very merry Christmas from this Darling family to yours.
