Patio Season

Praise all the lockdown lifting gods, patio season is finally here! I legit could not be more excited for this. Ready for the understatement of the year? We are all craving normalcy (duh) and the ability to sit on a patio and drink a beer with our bestie gives us just that. I think this is the most hopeful I have felt in a very long time. On that note, real quick, welcome back to all my amazing customers, y’all rocked our world this weekend. ANYWAYS, I figured everything else could wait and you needed to know the best patios to hit up in Muskoka now, like, RIGHT NOW!

In no particular order here are some great spots to hit up right in our own backyard (one literally is in the backyard of Belle’s hehe!) - - - >

The Old Station:

If you know, you know. The Old Station is a staple in downtown Bracebridge. The food, atmosphere and service are 10/10 (except when Chris used to work there . . . the service was a TWELVE. Did you think I was going to be rude to my husband? wink wink). They have a smaller menu than usual right now but no less delicious. Highly recommend the truffle fries and a beer if you’re strolling around town mid day.

The Griffin Gastropub:

Located right behind my boutique, like just so conveniently beside where I park my car for work every day. This is the perfect place to grab a post work beverage with your pals. They have an amazing selection of craft beers and locally sourced snacks. Their patio is small however, they have expanded their service out into the parking lot which gives tons of extra seating and at a very safe distance to boot.

Turtle Jacks Port Carling:

Turtle Jacks. A restaurant close to my heart (I worked there back in the day girlfriend). Located on the beautiful waterfront of Port Carling you really cannot go wrong hitting up this patio. They have added extended outdoor seating options all along the back of the property but my personal preference is definitely being seated on the actual patio. Be prepared to wait when you arrive, especially on the weekends, but don’t worry there are lots of cute shops to explore while you wait. Food & Drink tip - Raspberry mojito in a tall glass & the NY Butter Sauce as a side to anything (thank me later).

Crossroads:

This is an amazing treasure in Rosseau, ON and the perfect place for a summer date night. The outdoor patio is absolutely stunning and trust me when I tell you the food is to die for. Make sure you are not the one paying and it tastes even better.

On The Docks Pub:

Huntsville has some awesome restaurants but none with quite the same patio experience as “On The Docks Pub.” A great place to stop for a late lunch when you are exploring Huntsville and all the loveliness this town on the water has to offer.

What did I miss? Where are your favourite outdoor dining spots in Muskoka? Let me know over on the gram, I cannot wait to taste test my way around Muskoka this summer. Happy reopening to all my fellow retailers and to everyone that is still closed (salons and spas, we see you) I think I speak for everyone when I say, we cannot wait to bombard you the minute you are open! Cheers Ontario, fun mom summer is a go!

xo

P.S. The quality of the photos below might be crap but that is only because we were having the best time making covid friends through the barriers and letting a three year old hold a beer to cheers with SO, ya, CHEERS!
