Thanksgiving Looks

IMG_0155.JPG

This year has definitely been all about comfort, which I wholeheartedly support, but I think over the holiday seasons this fall and winter we should definitely add a little razzle dazzle just to spice things up and make sure our bubble of friends and family still remember how cool we are . . . Right? Giving them a little glam doesn’t mean we have to lose sight of all comfort, I wouldn’t do that to you. I promise not to promote any skinny jeans during eating holidays, that is just cruel. But here are a few of my favourite Thanksgiving friendly looks that are stylish and still support eating your weight in turkey. I know you might have less guests this year so your portion of turkey might be bigger, it is not your fault, it is 2020’s fault!

I have to be honest this first dress is one I absolutely loved on the hanger and even loved once it was on (the fabric is thick and just so comfortable to wear) BUT when I saw how it was looking in my photos I wasn’t sure I wanted to share. And then I realized how absolutely stupid that was. The dress felt great on, the slit gave a little sexy, and it was something fitted, which I have not worn since before baby. I felt like writing “for obvious reasons” but that would contradict the entire point of my rant here. SO what I am trying to get at is that this dress made me FEEL great and it is still hard for me to sometimes see my body as it is after baby number two. The dress didn’t look exactly how I thought it would but that is FINE! I think it would be disingenuous for me not to share this cute look even if my body doesn’t look exactly the way I hoped it would. Not every angle was flattering but this dress is a 10/10 and definitely a go to for a basic black midi!

Add a hat to anything, trust me. Seriously I’m starting to a major hat collection/ obsession.

The slit in this dress is just right honey!

My favourite white booties are making an appearance for every fall outfit. Sorry, not sorry.

Oh and hey again Beauzo!

Next up I am keeping it sassy in the newest vegan leather (yes pleather) skirt and the coziest turtle neck ever. I think if you are going to do something like a leather skirt with studs you need to balance it out (especially for a holiday / thanksgiving look) with something a little more conservative on top. Keeping it gansta but in a lady like way . . .

This season I have been seriously into combat boots and truly want to add them to every outfit. Is this wrong? Is it just me? Tell me y’all love these boots too!

My last thanksgiving friendly look is a little less “fancy,” and a lot more cozy! I think having neutral pieces that you can dress up or down are key. One of my favourite sweaters of all time is the “Tucker” from Gentle Fawn. They do it every season (sold out for fall but coming back for spring!), and it is such a great basic to use as is or accessorize. If you are wanting to keep it comfy and clean looking for thanksgiving this next look is for you. Leggings, a sweater, sneakers and a scarf. Simple as that. OH and I was feeling like I needed to be extra comfy so popped on the softest jacket I have ever had. Leopard print is a neutral now so I felt like it worked.

Hopefully this gives you a little inspo for your thanksgiving dinner party (no matter how small it may be) and obviously I will not fault you if you change into your Smash & Tess romper the minute you are done eating. If you want to shop any of these looks head on over to the Belle’s website or hit me up on insta with any last minute outfit questions. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Babes! Gobble, gobble.
